Paris Keep Top Four Chase Alive
Unbeaten Paris FC win to stop the progress of Olympique de Marseille, who won their last game after losing their first two of the season.
Sandrine Soubeyrand’s side won the game with important goals from Linda Sallstrom and Camille Catala; these goals put the game out of reach.
The experienced Linda Sallstrom started off the scoring on the 30 minute mark, getting two goals in five minutes. The first goal came with the ball being launched from the left side of the field and the ever-clinical Sallstrom got onto the end of the ball to beats Marseille’s Joly from outside the box. The Finnish international’s second was almost identical to the first but this time it was from close range.
With 60 minutes of the game being played, Paris FC spring back into life as Camille Catala capitalised on a mistake by Marseille and puts the ball into an empty net.
However, Marseille did get a consolation just two minute later and it was assumed that a comeback was on the way; Cardon scores from a lack of concentration.
