Former Leicester City and England forward, Emile Heskey, who also came through the ranks club’s academy will make his return to the club by developing a pathway for players at Foxes’ Women’s academy.
His role will see him support Alan Birchenall, keeping his 40 years of contribution in this manner an ongoing feature in the club.
This development follows on from the acquisition of Leicester City Women FC; which was up until this season, was still just an affiliated club.
The commitment to women’s football made by King Power International marks the 10-year anniversary of their takeover the club; a journey which saw the men’s team which the Premier League just 5 years into their tenure.
The club will be sure to replicate this level of success considering the level of experience that can be provided by Heskey, who played over 800 games and also had an excellent career in Liverpool too.
