Reading 3 -2 Everton

Utland settles the score

Adams Park saw an exciting first 20 minutes, there were four goals, two for each team.

Scoring first were the host, Reading, as Jade Moore headed the ball past Everton’s Korpela to score first goal for almost a year; meeting Fara William’s free kick with courage. Nevertheless, the Toffees bounced back with only three minutes of taking the lead when Barclay’s Player of the Month for September, Chloe Kelly, levelled the score.

Famously they say they you lose them how you get them and it was definitely so in this case. Just seven minutes after equalising, Everton concede their second goal as Jade Moore snuck in to score another header.

The goals just kept coming and just like that Reading continued in their failure to maintain their lead. A penalty was given when Lucy Graham was fouled inside the box and she then converted the spot kick; to give her team a chance to win the game.

The game did slow down in the second half but Everton were subjected to ariel threats they just could not defend against; this was evident when Norway’s Lisa-Marie Utland headed in another goal.
