CD Tacon 3 – 0 Sporting Huelva
It has been a long time coming and Real Madrid finally have a women’s team in the Spanish top tier; after agreeing to purchase CD Tacon. This is their first season in the Primera Division and despite losing 9-1 to Barcelona last week, in their first women’s El Clasico, the newbies have bounced back pretty quickly to pick up their first points.
Sofia Jakobsson got the first goal for CD Tacon, dribbling past the keeper after Sporting’s defense made a mistake. She was also involved in the second goal, turning from goalscorer into the provider, delivering a lavish cross for Jessica Martinez to put away comfortably.
Scoring the last goal was former Manchester City forward Kosovare Asllani. The Swede carefully chipped the ball past the keeper six minutes from full time after Jakobsson’s reverse past split Sporting’s defence open; though there were calls for offside.
