Palace continue win-less start to the season

Aston Villa Ladies continue their pursuit of greatness with another win. This win builds on the Villa’s Head Coach winning the manager of the month award for August. Now the midlands clubs move up to first place in the FA Women’s Championship, providing Durham drop points in there next game.

Beginning the scoring within the first minute of the game was Melissa Johnson with Emma Follis netting the second goal of the game with a stunning free kick that hit the top left corner; at half time they were 2-0 up and coasting.

The second half is truly were Villa shone the most, scoring their last four goals. 10 minutes into the this half Johnson grabbed herself a hat-trick, the second of the season. First it was finishing and squared pass from Natalie Haigh with the second coming from what could be called poor defending, getting on the end of Sian Roger’s distribution and sealing that away.

The finally two goals were scored by midfielder, Amy West and former Birmingham City starlet, Shania Hayles.
