Olympique Lyonnais 2 -1 VFL Wolfsburg

Last year’s finalists were battling out for a place in this year’s semi finals.

However, it was last years winners, Olympique Lyonnais Feminin, who sealed their victory in the first leg with 2 goals in the first 20 minutes.

The goal scorers on the day were Lyon’s new joint all time leading goalscorer, Eugenie Le Sommer, scoring after 11 minutes and club captain, Wendie Renard, scoring in the 18th minute.

Wolfsburg did do well to put the pressure on the French champions and they got their reward; an away goal from captian, Fischer.

There was a record number of attendees at the Groupama stadium as 17,840 spectators watched the home side win. This comes just after Barcelona also came away with a win and an attendance record.
