Arsenal beat Reading Women 6 – 0
The Gunners began the game with a back three, and in no less than 3 minutes they were 1-0 up a Meadow Park as Vivianne Miedema heading the ball into the back of the net after getting on the end of a Beth Mead cross.
A few minutes later, Arsenal skipper, Jordan Nobbs, grabbed their second when Miedema’s reverse pass was initially intercepted but she managed to get to the ball first and then squeezed it past the keeper. The third goal came just before half-time, Beth Mead who was having a great game, danced her way into the box and tucked the ball away into the far right of the opposition’s goal.
In a similar fashion to the first half, Reading conceded a goal just only after 4 minutes. Miedema’s first-time finish put Arsenal 4-0 up, it was a superb piece of play; a classy backheel led and perfect ball into the box by Katie McCabe.
The final two goals came from a tap in by Danielle Van de Donk, with Katie McCabe providing the assist again, and Van de Donk turned into a provider, setting up a simple finish for Niedema who finished the game with a hat-trick.
