Little Fractures Fibula
The injury comes as Little attempted to recover a loose ball and then shield it away from the opposition’s defenders. Unfortunately, incoming was a diving tackle from behind, which attempted to win the ball back ahead of Little but the late and heavy challenge caused some damage instead. As a result, Arsenal Women have stated that Little will be out for 10 weeks.
Fellow England International, Lucy Bronze, did comment on her disappointment in the lack of protection in the Women’s game via. Twitter:
“Real shame for Kim, Arsenal and the league. Fans come to watch players like her play. But REPEATEDLY let down by the standard of officiating (Not all officiating, may I add). But there’s a real underlying problem somewhere. My yearly rant.”
Kim Little has made a great start to the season, scoring 3 goals in 3 appearances and was shortlisted for first PFA Women’s Player of the Month Award in September.
