10 woman Empoli win away
Empoli continue to keep up pace with league leaders and second place Sassuolo and they currently sit in third place.
Four games of the season have been played so far and Empoli have now won three of these games.
Sitting behind them in fourth and fifth, level on points, are Milan, who take on Juventus today, and Fiorentina who lost to Sassuolo on Saturday.
Empoli were off to a great start and they outnumbered Bari in many positions; making it difficult for them to play out from the back. The away side dominated the Stadio Anotion Antonucci, playing without fear and had a very dominant possession rate at 75%.
20 minutes into the game, left-back Aurora De Rita put the away side ahead. The second goal came on the 45th minute from 20 year-old Centre Foward, Elisa Poli.
The final goal came from Arianna Acuti who came off from the bench to put away in the 89th minute.
This goal relaxed the game, seeing that Melissa Bellucci was sent off for her second yellow card 15 minutes earlier; which would be a good lesson to learn for the Italy youth international.
