Through inspiration, Yuki Nagasato’s aspiration to fulfill her idea of equality has come true.

The 33 year old forward, who won the 2011 Women’s World Cup with Japan, is set to join Hayabusa on loan from the National Women’s Soccer League’s Chicago Red Stars; but will return to the club for the 2021 season.

A key notion of hers is to create a community where there is no boundary against any gender or race.

Nagasato has had an outstanding career,  and started her professional career in 2001 playing for Nippon TV Beleza for 8 years and then moved to Turbine Potsdam for 3 years.

These tenures were followed by Chelsea, Wolfsburg, Frankfurt before settling at the Chicago Red Stars in 2017.

“Honestly, how much I can contribute among men is unknown,” Nagasato, also a runner-up at the 2015 World Cup and 2012 Olympics, said earlier this month.”But I was really inspired by messages on gender gap by Rapinoe at the World Cup and I was wondering if I could also send a message to the society”.
