Poor air quality halts fixture
The Portland Thorns were scheduled to host OL Reign today but the recent wildfires has damaged the quality of air and the NWSL have subsequently deemed it unsafe for the players to participate in this fixture.
The game has been rescheduled for the Wednesday 30th September and so far only 3 of the planned 18 have been played.
Portland have been showing a great run of form. They ended last season very well, and managed to seal a 5 game unbeaten streak; winning two and drawing three of those games. However, the Thorns will hope to open their season in the same manner and there is hope that the delay in this fixture does not affect their performance on the night.
