Vitality agree biggest sponsorship deal in the history of Women’s FA Cup

Women’s football in the UK continues to see a steady rise following last year’s sponsorship of the Women’s Super League by bankers, Barclays, and last week’s announcement of the WSL’s first international broadcasting deal.

This partnership has had a positive effect on many factors that would see the continued growth of the women’s game. However, mainly this benefit is predominantly financial considering the doubts placed on the season because of the pandemic. As a result, it was unlikely that on there would be a 2020-21 season.

“It demonstrates the power of women’s football.”

However, this hasn’t been the first time this company has been in support of women’s sports, or football, as they continue to align themselves with the right industries; since they are a health and insurance company after all.

BBC pundit, Alex Scott, who has won the prestigious Women’s FA Cup seven times has said the“The FA Cup always has been, and always will be, the showpiece event in women’s football.”

This follows up from reports on the Telegraph earlier today, where the Arsenal legend said “The WSL is the best league in the world”.
