Midlands club, Birmingham City Women grab a very important win in this week’s bottom of the table fixture, despite Liverpool seeing this game just as much as a viable opportunity, they failed to muster as many chances as their opponents; only having three attempts on goal in comparison to City’s nine.
Speaking of nine, nine minutes it’s all it took for Birmingham to get the first goal of the game, when full-back, Kerys Harrop found herself in a great position to tuck away Staniforth’s excellent delivery in the box. Just like that, Liverpoolian sports were down.
The second goal came when the provider for the first goal, Lucy Staniforth doubled her team’s leads with a left-footed half volley after the opposition failed to clear it successfully.
