Deportivo move up to second place
R.C. Deportivo de La Coruña Feminino sit are keeping up with league leaders Barcelona. The only thing that is separating both of these teams is the goal distance, where Barca are strong; leaving a eight goal gap between then and Deportivo who also have 10 points from their first four games.
A stable run of wins sees Deportivo do well to keep up and stake their claim amongst the elite, however, in order to keep up this consistency, they will need to improve defensively, though they remain undefeated.
Goals from 18 year-old and Spain u17 international defender, María Méndez Fernández, as well as Venezuelan forward Gabriela García gave the away side the victory at the Estadio Santa María de Lezama.
