Newcomers are yet to win a game
Sheffield United Women rip into FA Women’s Super League Newcomers Coventry with a splendid first half performance.
On the scoresheet was Katie Wilkinson, who scored two goals to bring her tally to the season to seven (9′, 42′) ; whilst, Cusack (70′), Ferguson (8′) and Palmer (41′).
Coventry’s only goal came from Rosie Axten who took a gamble with a long distance strike that struck the bar and went in on the 20th minute. This goal brought the deficit to only one, but in the end it could not spark much more from the team.
Wilkinson whilst taking to the star:
“It’s great for the girls we’ve got going away now and when they come back we’ll all be working hard for the next game.”
