Two-time winners no longer part of the season’s set up
Despite having an emphatic win over Whyteleafe Women in September, it snow known that this was achieved illegally.
The Lionesses had two incorrectly registered players on the field and have therefore been penalised.
As a result, Whyteleafe have been reinstated and are set to face Worthing on Sunday’s qualifying round.
It looks like this new Millwall team will have to wait to next season to be part of the Women’s FA Cup, though London City Lionesses, the ‘originals’, before their breakaway from their South East London partners this season, will still feature.
