Manchester City Score 5 Past Leicester In Continental Cup

Manchester City Women Run Rampant

City continues to show why they are one of the best teams in the country with a ruthless win.

FA Women’s Championship side, Leicester City Women, found it hard to get into the game, defended well, and early on it looked like this wouldn’t have been the outcome; since it was goalless with almost a third of the game being played.

However, the 28th minute saw the Citizen’s get their first goal when Caroline Weir dribbled past  Leicester’s Scarlett Field to put it in the back of the net.  The first half ended at 1-0.

Pauline Bremer grabbed two goals in the second half (57′, 65′); coring from close range with the first and converting Keira Walsh’s pass into the bottom left corner.

City’s final two goals came from Weir (75′), who grabbed her second and Wullaert (81′).
