Gianni Infantino and Donald Trump to bridge the gap
Despite the US’ ongoing battle with their women’s national team around equal pay, their President Trump, has been having talks with FIFA president, Gianni Infantino, on how they can make women’s football better, by making the game more equitable.
This move will see Trump attempting to increase their aptitude to pay their players accordingly; especially since the 2019 Women’s World Cup winners have outperformed the men’s team in recent years.
FIFA President, Infantino, on the progress being made:
“[In] women’s soccer, where you are world champion, there is much more to do. The president was saying this to me and he is right.
“We are working with that and we will announce very soon some new initiatives.”
