Czech Giants Thump Scottish Opponents
Today was the kick-off in the round of 32 in the UEFA Women’s Champions League. Hibernian began their campaign wonderfully as Siobhan Hunter gave them an advantage after 3 mins; lighting up Easter road with an electric start, they meant business. However, the home side began to crumble 15 minutes from half time, conceding three goals in succession.
Tereza Kožárová, who grabbed a hat trick today, grabbed her first goal by leveling the score for the away side 30 minutes after they were behind; she then managed to put the Czech side ahead 4 mins later. On the 42nd minute, striking partner, Andrea Jarchovska, swiftly followed up with their third goal and just like that, Hibernian was now chasing the game.
Hibernian did try to shake things up with a substitution but not much changed; and eventually, Tereza Kožárová put the game out of their reach on the 75th minute.
