The she-wolves remain top with emphatic win
Despite Wolfsburg’s defeat to Olympique Lyonnais during the week, the champions moved a step closer to winning the Allianz Women’s Bundesliga at the AOK stadium and their goal difference is the only thing keeping them ahead Bayern Munich in the title race.
Wolfsburg’s Manager, Stephan Lerch, credits the clubs high tempo as key component to their win today and said that:
“It’s not always easy to find a way through teams who set up so defensively. Every player today their place, which gives us a positive feeling going into the upcoming challenges. “
Scoring were Alexandra Popp (19,61,64), Carolina Hansen (36,40), Banuach (58), Maritz (66) and Ewa Pajor (75).
