Nike enter 5 year partnership with UEFA
As a continuation of Nike’s recent launch of their World Cup kits for women, Nike has become the official partner of the ‘WePlayStrong ‘campaign; which will see them cover all women related tournaments up until 2021 with a bespoke match ball for use.
UEFA’s head of women’s football, Nadine Kessler, has explained how this will help their ‘five year plan to ‘cement’ women’s football:
“We took the step of separating the rights and partnerships from the men’s game, because at UEFA, we believe in it and with exactly the same belief and continuous commitment for the women’s game, we will aim to reach new heights together with Nike.”
“A core part of that objective is to get more women playing football and staying in the game for longer.”
