African Cup of Nations to feature female referees

The 2019 U17 African Cup of Nations will be held in Tanzania this year; and will also feature three female referees that have been appointed by the CAF for the time.

The women that have been selected amongst the 29-match officials for the u17 Afcon are, Mary Wanjiru Njoroge (Kenya), Lidwine Rakotozafinoro (Madagascar) and Jonesia Rukyaa Kabakama (Tanzania).

The selection was made by the CAF Referees in Cairo earlier this year.
