Palace ,who are sitting in the relegation zone, now sit 5 points above the their south-eastern counterparts, Millwall, who are at the bottom of the table.
Sheffield sealed the win in the last 20 minutes of the game with goals from Jade Pennock and Manchester United loanee, Ebony Salmon.
With 4 of their remaining 5 games being bottom half clashes, there is a chance for the club to stay up this season.
