Portland Thorns Winger ecstatic with return
24 year-old Raso, who was told that she may never play again after breaking three vertebrae in a clash with Washington Spirit keeper, Aubrey Bledsoe, August, featured in the last 20 minutes of the game; a brave choice by coach, Ante Milicic.
However, it's only two her three minutes to but the Aussies two goals up against New Zealand in an Oceanic derby.
In an interview with ABC, Raso described her journey back to full fitness:
I had a few episodes where I passed out because of the pain and I went into shock,"
"Eventually I was able to get up, slowly and with a lot of help. I was just taking really small steps trying to get around the hospital."
"We play every game for them. We couldn't do it without their support."@HayleyRaso pays tribute to last night's great crowd in Sydney.
