An Oceanic World Cup To Be Considered
Interim chief of New Zealand football, Andrew Pragnell, is set to submit his interest in hosting the 2023 Fifa Women’s World Cup. This is set to be carried out before the 15 March; since the bidding process only began a week ago.
The strength of the bid lies in the fact that the nation has a strong history of hosting of tournaments for Fifa, especially at youth level.
Andrew Pragnall on the NZ Football’s attempt:
“There’s strong interest from our side,” Pragnell said this week.
“The real telling date will be the 18th of March, when Fifa will release the bid documents. “That’s really important for us, because the clincher will be ensuring that our stadiums are fit for purpose and meet the bid specifications. We’re really excited and interested, but the 18th of March and what’s in the bid documents will be really critical.”
