Norwegian Football Association proposes restructure
Terje Svendsen, the President of the NFF, believes that the Norwegian Football Association needs to look at measures to keep up with the changes; since women’s football is now becoming more of an international priority.
There are many discussions about how to improve Norwegian women’s football and all proposals are currently out for consultation.
For example, increasing the average age in the league and the number of teams from 68-80 in the 2nd division by the Espeland Committee.
It not only applies to the series structure itself, but a comprehensive package that applies to coaching and releasing players to ‘professional days’ to increase the quality of the training. The series structure alone does not solve the challenges we have, but we must have a holistic perspective on the measures, says Svendsen
“Professional days” – days and hours the women have free that can be used for even more training
