Sunday’s Game Successfully Raise Funds For Charity
The Birmingham and Solihull Women’s Aid raised £260 from supporters at Birmingham City Women’s draw against Chelsea Women on Sunday at the Automated Technology Group Stadium. There was a chance for a winner, but skipper, Karen Carney missed her penalty and a chance to break the deadlock.
As the team warmed up, they wore Women’s Aid t-shirts, as did the ball girls, in support of the charity.
The money was raised by the use of a food bank at the end of the game.
The Birmingham and Solihull Women’s Aid are a charity against domestic abuse to women and children; they are the club’s official charity partner for the 18-19 season.
